It is hard to believe I started my blog two years ago. I hope I have evolved as a blogger in those two years! I know I have certainly learned a lot. I am currently reinventing my blog by changing some of my pages to include things I have decided make a better fit for me and the audience of bloggers I hope to engage.
I am also committing to updating my posts each week on Saturday! There, I said it! It is now in print, and I have a responsibility to you, my fellow bloggers to follow through weekly and share my "Life Lessons".
As I turn half a hundred, I find myself looking back over my life and seeing all the little things that I have taken for granted and put off to enjoy until later. I think its time that this teacher becomes a student of life and starts learning the most valuable lessons! Lessons that cannot be found in a classroom (not always, however, I do learn lots from my seventh graders) or found in a textbook. They can be found by experiencing God and family and enjoying blessings of health, true beauty, freedom and clean living. Living each day to the fullest and not leaving any stones left unturned. Life with no regrets! Full speed ahead! No would’ves, could’ves, should’ves!

The purpose in this blog is to share my challenges with
others who are at the same place in their lives as I find myself… and asking
them to join me as we learn to enjoy life along the way!
My children are reaching the age of
independence with my youngest being a senior in high school this year. My
husband and I are entering the “empty nest” syndrome.
We welcomed our first grandchild
into the family in March of this year. Being a Lolli and living with a Pop is a
new adventure we are thoroughly enjoying! (He says the worst thing about being
a Grandpa is sleeping with Grandma LOL)
Our home of 24 years is in need of
renovation (children and pets have a way of christening a home.) I am looking
forward to putting some of my HGTV projects into motion.
I find myself at the age where I
feel a need to educate myself on eating a clean, healthy diet that can promote
health, and trying to exercise in spite of my tendencies to make excuses. I
have high blood pressure and a weight problem. At my age, these are things I
cannot ignore. I am learning to cook with herbs and clean ingredients and hope
to share some amazing recipes and gardening discoveries.
My bucket list includes writing a
novel, and this year as I turned 50 I decided it was time to get started. I have
written around 13,000 words and I am excited to say it is going well.
I would like to invite you to
become a student of life with me and let’s learn life lessons together!
Life is what happens while you are
busy making other plans!
